The Department of Bengali was started with the foundation of K.C. Das Commerce College in the year 1983. The primary objective of the department is to impart quality education relating to Bengali literature and language from Higher Secondary to Under Graduate level, according to the syllabus of AHSEC and Gauhati University respectively. In the Department of Bengali, many teachers offered their invaluable services on part time basis from time to time. For different personal reasons they did not continue their services in the Department. The Department of Bengali gratefully acknowledges their services.
