A Women’s Cell in any institution symbolizes a safety hub for the students. It is a sign of progression and open thinking. For a girls student, a Women’s Cell, unknowingly, becomes her strength and offers her different perspectives on gender issues. It empowers her to do what she wants. Implementation of Women’s Cell in every college is a must step to be taken.
The K.C. Das Commerce College Women's Cell, established on 19th November, 2005 was formally inaugurated by Prof. Archana Sharma, Director, Womens' Studies Research Centre, Gauhati University on 7th February, 2006. The Cell usually consists of the female members from the Teaching and Non-Teaching staff and the student’s fraternity of the college.
